Mexico is literally JUST around the corner! I can not tell you how excited I am to be heading down that way!
I have a few things to update you on since the last post:
- We have made additions to our team, we are now at 7!
- We have started meeting together as a team, and are beginning the process of getting to know one another and meshing as a group.
- We have received some initial information about the church we will be working with! Most likely we will be setting up some kind of a VBS program, and possibly a ladies service devotional.
- We are hoping to partner up with some of the local youth in the area to get them to help us lead whatever program we end up running.
- We are still fund raising for our group supplies and for the supplies we will need for the program we set up!
There are some things I would still ask that you be in continued prayer for:
- Continued unity-building among the team
- Fundraising to go well, for the supplies needed to be taken care of
- To be able to get ahold of our partner church (we could not last week because the lines were down)
- For the hearts of those going, those sending, those receiving, and those we will work along side and serve/serve with to be receptive to what God has in store
- For the families of all who are going, as this is happening over a family holiday
- For all the students going who will be away from home, perhaps for the first time, over a family holiday
- For health both now and during our time in Mexicali
- For safety now, during and after the trip while we are on our way back

We have another team leader meeting this evening, I will hopefully give a more detailed update within the next week after some school things have calmed down. (please pray for that as well)
